TJ Müller

Biography

T.J Muller is a British multi-instrumentalist, based out of St. Louis, Mo. specializing in the music of the 1920s.  You can find him performing weekly around St. Louis under his own name as well as leading local Jazz bands, The Gaslight Squares and The Arcadia Dance Orchestra.


T.J began playing traditional Jazz as a child with his family band in the North of England in which he played trumpet and sang songs such as 'five foot two eyes of blue' and 'Baby Face'.

Whilst living in Edinburgh, T.J recorded and toured with Western Swing band, Rob Heron and the Tea-pad Orchestra. Following this T.J took a position in the Pokey Lafarge band, this led him to move permanently America and embark on a 3 year international tour.


He has performed on The David Letterman Show, A Prairie Home Companion and the Grand Ole Opry, as well as appearing in the recent PBS documentary, American Epic.


T.J Muller has a fun, engaging performance style and brings the music of the early 20th century back to life through witty lyrics, syncopated solos and plucky melodies.
